The Republicans are The Walking Dead

The Republican Party is acting a lot like the zombie “walkers” in the tv series “The Walking Dead.” Check out the similarities:

First and foremost, walkers are people that have died. The Republicans belong to a party that has died.

Walkers impale themselves on sharpened spikes and barbed wire fences. The Republican Party is impaling itself on government shutdowns and debt ceilings.

Walkers have grey faces. Republicans have orange faces.

Walkers can limp and stumble along for years. The Republican party has been doing the same thing.

Walkers lunge at everyday people, including women and children. Republican Party policies attack everyday people, including women and children.

Walkers eat flesh. Republicans are trying to extract their pound of flesh from President Obama and the Democrats.

Walkers keep coming back to attack again and again. Republicans have voted unsuccessfully to repeal the Affordable Care Act over 40 times.

“The Walking Dead” follows survivors of a zombie apocalypse who are making their way through the state of Georgia. The Republicans experienced a previous apocalypse when they shut down the federal government in 1995, led by a Congressman from the state of Georgia.

However, there’s one major way in which walkers are different from the Republican Party. Walkers can only be stopped by hitting them in the brains.
